Giant Microbes for Adorable Germs

Giant Microbes are toys designed to educate children about different illnesses, diseases and viruses in a fun way. These cute "germs" also make fun and educational gifts for adults. Here you can find small plush microbes such as Chickenpox, Kissing Disease and Swine Flu - Minis, which come in groups of 3 in an adorable petri dish and Gigantic Microbes which range from 16" - 20" in size.

When I was younger, I was an extremely sick child. I had a very weak immune system and I caught everything that went around. I constantly had strep throat, ear infections and even the flu. I also remember having mono and being very scared of what was going to happen to me. I would have loved the opportunity to of learned about these germs in an educational and fun way like Giant Microbes offers. I love how they are able to take a very serious illness and make it into a cute "germ" that helps the child to be less afraid. It's a great way for a parent or doctor to discuss these illnesses with a child.

In addition to offering individual microbes, Giant Microbes offers a variety of boxes filled with mini microbes. I fell in love with the Christmas Tree Box. It's filled with mini microbe ornaments all decorated and ready to trim the tree from their metallic golden strings! Common Cold is a bright smurfy blue festively adorned with a Santa Hat. Kissing Disease is a soft lavender who comes standing beneath her own mistletoe batting her pretty eyelashes, beware! Brain Cell is a really unique shape and he comes holding a candy cane. I love all the dark brown strings hanging down from E. coli with his cute reindeer antlers. Then there is Red Amoeba in her darling green winter scarf.

The quality of these adorable little germs is very nice. You can tell that great thought went into every detail of making these. They are cuddly soft and vivid in color. Each one has a small tag identifying the microbe. Even the eyes are two toned as some are gray, green or brown and have black pupils in the center.

Giant Microbes has a variety of fun germs for everyone. Whether it's time to speak about the birds and the bees, give your favorite Science Teacher or Doctor a gift, or educate your children - you are sure to find the perfect microbe for the job here.

You can find these and all the other fun and educational microbes on the Giant Microbes Website. You can stay up to date on the newest products by liking them on Facebook and following them on Twitter. You can also subscribe to the Giant Microbes Newsletter.

  19. My 3 yr old son is pretty obsessed with germs at the moment. I think between school & home, always being told to wash his hands or not to touch this or that because of "germs" ... he would love to have this visual for them! How cute!

These would be a great teaching tool for his preschool class too!

  20. These are so cute that they'll keep a child's attention much in same way that a puppet would. They make cool learning tools for several ages.
