Hello Lovely Pinterest Fanatics, I have a FLASH giveaway for you...it ends 7/4/2012 at midnight, so hurry and enter - there will be 3 winners :)
My sweet friend Terri of Terri’s Little Haven & Jenn too received the book "1000 Places To See Before You Die“, by Patricia Schultz, and this is her review:
I love to travel. I don’t know too many people who don’t like or long to travel. It is my dream to explore the world for a year before I die. The older I get the more I realize how valuable and precious our time is here on earth. I received a book of “1000 Places To See Before You Die“, written by the lovely Patricia Schultz, and my nose has been stuck in it every since. This is a full color, second edition book by this wonderful #1 New York Times Bestseller.
I love to cook and when I read about The Quadrilatero (where food is a magnificent obsession), I immediately added it to my list of places I’d like to see before I die. This medieval city is described by it’s gastrointestinal pleasures, follow narrow streets lined with family run shops and the stalls of the food market. I can almost see and smell the wonderful sights and mouth watering dishes from the passage.
Huangshan (a walk in the clouds) sparked my interest immediately as I started reading about the natural beauty and the mountain range’s misty landscapes that painters have sought to capture. The gorgeous photos are so vivid and beautiful. I’ve never had the pleasure of seeing a bubbling hot spring but I’d like to one day. I love nature and natural outdoor scenes. I believe me and my camera could make a trip to Huangshan worth remembering.
I was born in Alaska but I don’t remember anything about Alaska. My family left when I was about 2 years old. Alaska has always fascinated me because it’s a part of me. It’s where my life started. I read everything I can get my hands on about Alaska and I have always wanted to go back there to see my birth place. It’s already on my list of places to see before I die, and this book just increased that interest for me.
In Hartford Connecticut, USA, I’d love to see the Mark Twain House. Mark Twain is a part of everyone’s childhood or at least he was a part of mine. I love Victorian homes and the era and this really sounds like a place I’d love to take the grand-kids to see.
There are so many places to read about in this great book. It will take a long time to get through this book and I’m going to enjoy each and every page. Reading about all of the exciting places to see makes me want to pack up and go. I really hope I get to visit the places I’ve added to my list.
