::: Key Lime Pie with Oatmeal Creme Pie Crust :::

Hello Pinterest Fanatics and welcome to my daughter Alesea's Corner. She LOVES to cook and was absolutely thrilled for me to pass along our family recipe for Key Lime Pie. This was a sweet, special Mommy - Daughter moment for us.

This isn't your ordinary Key Lime Pie. Although the ingredients are simple, I promise that it's going to change the way you make your crust forever. It's the perfect crust for this Sweet Citrus Treat.

Now, I can take full credit for the filling being our family recipe as I grew up eating this delicious pie in a graham pie crust. Which was great and needed no improvement. Then a conversation with my hair stylist led to changing our easy, no bake family recipe forever. Thank you Pam for introducing me to the Ultimate Pie Crust: Oatmeal Creme Pie Crust.

You will need:
8 oz. Cool Whip
10-14 oz. Sweetened Condensed Milk
6 oz. Limeade
1 box Oatmeal Creme Pies
Green Food Coloring (Optional)
Lime (Optional)

Filling:
The great part about this filling is that you can alter the amount of Sweetened Condensed Milk to change the level of sweetness. Mix together the Cool Whip and Limeade. Then add the Sweetened Condensed Milk to your liking. We add 10 oz. of Sweetened Condensed Milk. If you get it too sweet, no worries...you can always add more limeade. If you want that beautiful key lime color, just add a few drops of green food coloring & your filling is done. Place in the fridge while you prepare THE ultimate pie crust.

Pie Crust:
Grease your pie plate lightly. I spritzed with Pam. Now the fun begins. Grab a butter knife and separate your Oatmeal Creme Pies. Then place Creme side down. Yes, Creme side down.

Continue placing the Oatmeal Creme Pies and pressing them together until the entire pie plate is covered.

Now fill your Ultimate Oatmeal Creme Pie Crust with the Key Lime filling.

Garnish with a slice of lime if you wish and refrigerate. 12-24 hours is ideal, but you can sample 3-4 hours in if you'd like. We find it really hard to resist for a full day in my house.

I'm so proud of Alesea, she did a beautiful job! Please feel free to comment below, she would love to hear your feedback.

Enjoy and Happy Pinning!
