My kids LOVE Tomato Soup especially with a Grilled Cheese Sandwich. When I ran across this pin, I had one of those why didn't I think of that moments. This is genius!
Here is my spin on a Classic... the Quick & Easy Version.
1 can Tomato Soup
2 slices of bread
Your favorite cheese
I use wheat bread, Low Fat Kraft American Cheese and I Can't Believe it's Not Butter for a healthy version.
Heat your pan over medium-high heat. Spread one side of each bread slice with butter. Place 1 slice in the pan buttered side down. Top with cheese, then place the other bread slice on top buttered side up. Cook until toasted on both sides, around 3 to 5 minutes on each side. Prepare soup according to label directions.
Remove the sandwich from the pan and allow to cool. Cut into 1" squares.
Divide your Grilled Cheese Croutons between each serving of soup.
